QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant HR experience
- 5+ years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
- PHR/SPHR certification a plus, but not required
- Proficiency using Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive,) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Adobe Acrobat Reader, DocuSign
- Experience working with Mac OS
- Experience implementing HRIS Systems a plus
- Experience managing in the Rippling HRIS system, a plus
- Demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in exploring emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance HR operations.
- Experience working in a startup environment - preferably in the tech, social media, or entertainment industries
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- A good attitude and ability to work well in a close-knit team environment - no brilliant jerks here!

Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with hiring managers across the organization to ensure that the onboarding processes are smooth and timely for managers and candidates
- Handle all onboarding activities, including pre-hire employee communication
- Data entry into our HRIS- Rippling, and ensuring all policies, documentation and records are reviewed and accurately maintained
- Managing PTO requests & ensures policy compliance across the organization
- Partner with the HR Team while working on various HR projects across benefits, organizational structure, L&D, and performance management
- Assist employees with Leaves of Absences processes
- Support HR Leadership with employee relations matters where necessary
- Administer employee benefits programs, including new hire enrollment, changes, and annual open enrollment processes.
- Respond to employee inquiries about benefits, payroll, and related policies.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, payroll records, and training documentation.
- Assist with audits and reporting as required.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide insight and recommendations to improve organizational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide reports to leadership as needed.
- Support leadership in succession planning and talent management efforts.
- Promote learning opportunities that align with company goals.
- Ensures FLSA compliance by monitoring job classifications and performing routine audits.
- Tracking accurate timekeeping and pay practices for exempt and non-exempt employe
- Regularly reviewing contractor agreements and arrangements to avoid misclassification risks.
- Maintain compliance with employee notices & posters
- Handles employee exits related to:
- Timing and delivery of final paychecks.
- Payment of accrued vacation or PTO.
- Issuance of wage statements and notices of separation & any associated exit communication.
- Continuation of health benefits under state COBRA laws.
