PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of HR experience in benefits and leave administration required.
- Ability to handle confidential information, including protected health information (PHI), with discretion.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with superior follow-up.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with third-party vendors, employees, and management teams.
- A sense of urgency and compassion in dealing with employee issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Experience in managing leave administration (Sick Leave, FMLA, PFL, ADA, WC, COBRA).

Responsibilities:
- Leave Administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for leave-related inquiries, accommodation requests, ADA, FMLA, PFL, WC, and COBRA.
- Legal Compliance: Collaborate with HR Operations Manager and escalate cases to legal review when necessary, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- HRIS Management: Prepare, maintain, and conduct audits to ensure data integrity in the HRIS system related to leave reports, employee status updates, terminations, and benefits tracking.
- Employee Support: Investigate and assist employees with leave-related issues, including carrier inquiries, benefits coordination, and modified work schedules.
- Benefits Program Management: Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness initiatives, coordinating with third-party vendors and brokers.
- Enrollment Management: Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries related to benefits offerings, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
- Open Enrollment Coordination: Organize open enrollment periods, including communication, education, and assistance with employee selections.
- Stay Informed: Keep up to date with industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in benefits administration to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
- Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with office leadership, payroll, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and accurate benefit management.
- Support HR Functions: Take on additional HR tasks as needed to support the overall HR functions.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, if/when necessary.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources manager by assisting with a variety of clerical duties, data entry, and uploading documents to employee files.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
