QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in HR, Business Administration, Labor Relations or similar
  • 2-4+ years of experience working as an HR generalist
  • Knowledge of HR Information Systems HRIS such as Workday and payroll systems such as ADP
  • Experience in recruiting, payroll and/or benefits administration
  • Understanding of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
  • Highly proficient with MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • High integrity and professionalism
  • Solution Oriented thinking – excellent problem solving skills
  • Clear communication - both verbal and written
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for recruiting hourly staff, onboarding and payroll support
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
  • Support HR Manager/Director in recruiting/compensation/talent/development projects.
  • Assists with employee appreciation and community service events.
  • Help support all people initiatives and practices including recruitment, talent, leadership development, diversity, performance management, organizational design, compensation, etc
  • Lead and/or assist in the coordination of career fairs and special projects involving campus military, diversity recruitment, etc.
