POSITION SUMMARY

Job Title: HR Generalist I
Revision: 08/2024

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department with direction from the manager and partner on recruiting and assist with event coordinating efforts. This role will also partake in the enforcement and compliance with policies and practice. The position is also responsible for aiding with the collection, processing, and maintenance of HR data and provides support in all HR related activities.

  • Ability to act as a liaison to management and supervisors
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations and policy and procedure
  • Knowledge of associate file requirements and retention standards
  • Experience in talent acquisition, specifically recruiting entry-level positions, recruiting in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Strong knowledge in compensation and benefits is preferred
  • General safety knowledge within a manufacturing setting is preferred
  • General knowledge of training implementation preferred
  • General knowledge in performance management is preferred

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources, and
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration with an HR Management concentration, Psychology, Communications, or related field, or
  • SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) Certification, or
  • Professional in Human Resources Certification, or
  • Combination of education, experience, and/or certification(s)
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources is preferred
