Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our business partner team at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing demands. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with shifting priorities and capable of pivoting between tasks and fluctuating deadlines.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
  • Experience Exception: Bachelor’s degree with some HR or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR functions, systems and processes. (e.g., diversity, compensation, organizational design, employee relations, performance management).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including Google Sheets Slides, preferred.
  • Proven performance in earlier role.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven organization is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team and navigate through ambiguity.
  • Strong data management skills, with the ability to pull reports and provide initial analysis.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information concisely and professionally

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key resource for the business partner team, providing HR support to team members and managers.
  • Interface with managers and staff across departments to address inquiries and offer guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in pulling, organizing, and analyzing HR data to create reports, offering a first-pass analysis to aid business partner decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business partners to support and/or deliver training initiatives to team members as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, adapting to rapidly changing needs, deadlines, and project requirements.
  • Respond promptly to HR-related inquiries from team members and managers, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure seamless integration of HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Deliver high quality HR services by understanding and balancing the needs of the customer with those of the business.
