GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for a variety of Human Resource duties in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Staffing, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, EEO, Management Training, and/or Workforce Development. This position utilizes administrative and technical expertise in support of Human Resources strategies and objectives. With minimal supervision, this position will also be responsible for different projects within specific HR functions. This position may also serve as a project or functional lead and may work with other Human Resources staff to ensure project timelines are met.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university and five years of exempt or professional level HR experience in a Generalist capacity OR a high school diploma or GED and ten years of exempt or professional level Human Resources experience, seven years of which were in a Generalist capacity.

Pay Range
$90,048.00 - $135,072.00 Annual
Midpoint:
$112,560.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate’s qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.

Responsibilities:

This position provides direct support to both internal and external customers through use of general knowledge of Human Resource discipline(s), established Energy Northwest Procedures, guidelines, policy and applicable laws. This position provides support for a moderate to large customer base and/or for functions of moderate to significant size, scope and/or complexity. It receives minimal direction and assistance from specialists and/or supervision.
Conducts special projects and studies. Makes recommendations in area of specialized expertise. Works directly with other HR Specialists, Generalists or Professionals to help develop programs and plans related to any assigned specialty areas.
Provides day to day Human Resources support in some or all of the following areas: compensation, benefits, HRIS, staffing, labor relations, employee relations, EEO, management training and/or workforce development. Requires general knowledge and experience in multiple Human Resource discipline(s) as identified. This position will be a direct customer interface, and exercises discretion and judgment in resolving issues, suggesting solutions and working to accommodate customer requests in a timely and consistent manner. This position is responsible to meet timelines and may see processes through from start to finish. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing data and recommending process improvements.
The incumbent will perform assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques and guidelines in various Human Resources disciplines. Provide advice to management, employees and union officials in regards to the areas listed. Tracks trends and developments in assigned departments and/or work groups. Conducts studies, performs research and prepares reports.
Develops and runs complex reports. Manages special projects and may train employees on various topics.
Internal Support:
Provides direct support internally to Human Resource staff, supervision and associated Energy Northwest Leadership. Is involved in various projects and supports overall Human Resource goals and objectives through daily activity and HR team interactions. Takes an active role in planning, is responsible for CR/AR initiation and timely response, to ensure use of historical data and ongoing action tracking. Provides file room assistance, and is responsible for assigned area filing necessary to ensure all files are up to date. May act as area Safety coordinator, and will have an active role on the ERO team.
Communications:
Actively provides accurate communications verbally, written, and through presentations to internal and/or external customers to relay Human Resource data and information, in response to inquiry and for clarification purposes. Communication is part of daily activity and will require diplomacy, tact and professionalism. Maintains strict confidentiality and data integrity.
Training:
Provides training either individually or as part of a team to the organization for compliance, soft-skills, and other related Human Resource information. Position will assist in the development and ongoing improvement to training curriculum.
May be required to support Outage positions.
