Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the proposal & implementation of Human Resources strategies in the designated region (Chile), aligned with the organization’s objectives, as well as the execution of different programs and initiatives. This position functions as a trusted advisor to leaders in the areas of employee engagement, labor relations, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and leadership development.
Partner and support various stakeholders in key business areas to ensure that business goals are realized while organizational capabilities are developed in a fast-paced matrixed organization. Ensure that the HR function is efficient, valued, and well-regarded among managers and colleagues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree (ideally within HR related subject)

  • Proven progressive experience in Human Resources role

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, complex and matrix environment with a high level of change
  • Proven knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, benefits, organization development, employee relations.
  • Experience with WorkDay would be an advantage.
  • Advanced english level, portuguese desiable.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Travel to other sites as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team in defining strategies and action plans to facilitate the achievement of Thermo Fisher Scientific objectives.

  • Develops and drives the HR initiatives and process improvement projects for the designated region, ensuring operational performance.

  • Recommend and implement strategies for developing and maintaining a positive engaged work environment.
  • Develops operational mechanisms to maintain compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures in line with the region’s labor law and corporate guidelines.
  • Advice on employee relations as the need arises to improve workforce performance and productivity, identifying, and addressing people and organizational risk.
  • Partner with CoEs to facilitate and provide local feedback on corporate processes.
  • Ensure competitiveness and internal equity by supporting and advising the leadership team and CoEs on issues related to compensation and benefits.
  • Find opportunities for improvement of processes related to the HR department, proposing efficient solutions and best practices. Challenges the status quo and champions new ideas
  • Participate in additional HR projects, as required.
