Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the proposal & implementation of Human Resources strategies in the designated region (Chile), aligned with the organization’s objectives, as well as the execution of different programs and initiatives. This position functions as a trusted advisor to leaders in the areas of employee engagement, labor relations, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and leadership development.
Partner and support various stakeholders in key business areas to ensure that business goals are realized while organizational capabilities are developed in a fast-paced matrixed organization. Ensure that the HR function is efficient, valued, and well-regarded among managers and colleagues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree (ideally within HR related subject)
Proven progressive experience in Human Resources role
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and coaching skills
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, complex and matrix environment with a high level of change
- Proven knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, benefits, organization development, employee relations.
- Experience with WorkDay would be an advantage.
- Advanced english level, portuguese desiable.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Travel to other sites as required.
Responsibilities:
Support the management team in defining strategies and action plans to facilitate the achievement of Thermo Fisher Scientific objectives.
Develops and drives the HR initiatives and process improvement projects for the designated region, ensuring operational performance.
- Recommend and implement strategies for developing and maintaining a positive engaged work environment.
- Develops operational mechanisms to maintain compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures in line with the region’s labor law and corporate guidelines.
- Advice on employee relations as the need arises to improve workforce performance and productivity, identifying, and addressing people and organizational risk.
- Partner with CoEs to facilitate and provide local feedback on corporate processes.
- Ensure competitiveness and internal equity by supporting and advising the leadership team and CoEs on issues related to compensation and benefits.
- Find opportunities for improvement of processes related to the HR department, proposing efficient solutions and best practices. Challenges the status quo and champions new ideas
- Participate in additional HR projects, as required.
