The NEEDS Center is looking for an HR Generalist who will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this is a great opportunity with a growing non-profit organization. Responsibilities will include: administering benefits, leaves, workers compensation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Supporting the Recruitment team with onboarding of new hires.
  • Assisting the Training Department with covering for orientation as needed, training tracking and follow-up with employees. Willingness to become a trainer for CPR/FA.
  • Assisting the Director of HR to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to workers compensation, benefits, and leaves; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
  • Assisting with preparing for licensing and audit reviews.
  • Participating and assisting the HR Director with open enrollment.
  • Assisting in helping with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Maintain the security of electronic media.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to staff, individuals and individual’s families
