Description:
We have an exciting opportunity in our Human Resources Department for a Human Resources Generalist. This is a full-time position located at our Minnetonka headquarters.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist supports functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including HR system administration, onboarding, training and development, benefits, compensation, employment law compliance, reporting, performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives. The HR Generalist will collaborate with other members of the HR team to support the needs and priorities of the business. Successful individuals will have the ability to wear many hats, demonstrate knowledge of human resources principles, and be a strong team player.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field
- 3 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) a plus
- Knowledge of employment law – federal and state statutes/regulations
- Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Unwavering integrity and confidentiality. Exhibits a high degree of objectivity and professionalism
- Must be able to work independently, highly motivated, and results-oriented
- Good judgment, resourceful and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team player
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Proficient with technology and MS Office suite

- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs
- Maintains human resources information system records
- Provide human resources information system (HRIS) guidance, administration, and troubleshooting to employees and supervisors
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Compiles and distributes human resources reports to internal stakeholders
- Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
- Handles employment-related questions from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Completes various audits and special projects as needed
- Responds promptly to employee questions and concerns
- Administers performance evaluation program
- Coordinates employee surveys and provides reports to internal stakeholders
- Maintains knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Assists with HR tasks related to mergers and acquisitions
- Maintains HR forms, documents, and other employee-related communication
- Facilitates employee recognition initiatives as directed
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
