Working in a challenging, high volume, fast-paced environment, the HR Generalist student will work closely with the HR Business Advisors (HRBA’s), HR Analysts and Business Units to provide support to the Client Services team. Building on classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your skills while working with mentors to kick-start a successful career in Human Resources.

  • Term length: 12 months
  • Term start: January 2025
  • Job location: Fort McMurray, AB – (Horizon or Albian site)
  • Shift schedule: 4 x 3 – 10 hours (Monday – Thursday)
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create and process complete and accurate Assignment Change Form (ACF) packages including: resignations, transfers, progressions, leaves of absence, general employee changes etc.
  • Create and complete routine HR forms and letters
  • Complete people and position data audits within HR Central
  • Coordinate and complete projects on behalf of the HRBAs/department
  • Assist in roll out of HR Company initiatives.
  • Creating ad-hoc reporting as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Currently enrolled in your 2 nd , 3 rd , or 4 th year of a degree or diploma program in Human Resources
