SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist is responsible for applying business knowledge and human resource expertise for our location in Emmen, Netherlands. He/she ensures that all employee-related policies in each department are in accordance with ATG’s core values and established regulations.
The HR Generalist plays a key role in the success of the organization by providing guidance in recruitment and selection, termination of employment, performance management, coaching managers, HR best practices, sustainable employability (absenteeism, health and vitality) and at the same time promote a positive relationship between employees and management.
Critical Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
- 3-5 years of experience in HR in an international environment
- Expertise in HR policies and procedures
- Insight into HR best practices and current laws and regulations
- Good judgment and problem solving skills
- Customer-oriented attitude, with a high degree of professionalism and discretion
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and HR systems as well as payroll systems
- Familiar with the legislation regarding absenteeism (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter)
- Word and writing knowledge of the Dutch and English language, German is a plu
Responsibilities:
- Daily HR Operations
- Payroll for Netherlands and other EMEA sales offices
- Support management in all employee matters using knowledge of local employment legislation
- Roll out and implement personnel policy
- Support in improving employee relationships
- HR Reporting – ensuring HR systems are updated and accurate
- Recruiting
- Training and development of employees (sustainable employability)
- Advice and service to management on performance issues
- Identifying ways to improve policies and procedures
- Supports, guides and works on HR projects
- Reports internally and externally
