WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Employee Lifecycle ManagementManage the entire employee lifecycle from preboarding to offboarding, ensuring timely milestones, accurate records, and smooth transitions. Draft employment letters and conduct onboarding, offboarding, and orientation.
  • HR SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGYMaintain and audit HR records, leveraging technology to support HR processes and decision-making. Resolve system issues and enhance digital filing efficiency.
  • BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION MANAGEMENTAdminister health benefits, RRSP, and payroll. Support job descriptions, job ads, and compensation recommendations in alignment with pay structures.
  • EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND SUPPORTProvide fair resolutions for employee and manager inquiries, support HR questions, conduct investigations, manage terminations, and oversee attendance and accommodation plans. Champion DEIB initiatives across HR activities.
  • RECRUITMENT AND TALENT ACQUISITIONAssist in recruitment during high-demand periods and support the talent acquisition process as needed.
  • HR PROGRAMMINGEnhance HR practices by anticipating business needs and executing HR initiatives. Manage projects and deadlines in collaboration with the HR Manager.
  • HR ANALYTICS AND REPORTINGGenerate HR reports to inform decision-making and provide insights to leadership through data-driven metrics.
  • COMPLIANCE AND HEALTH & SAFETYLead the OH&S committee and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
  • COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATIONDraft HR communications, collaborate across departments, support EVP marketing, and participate in presentations on HR programs and initiatives.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND BEST PRACTICESStay current on HR trends, continuously seeking improvements to enhance employee experience and company people activities.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a relevant post-secondary education and experience;
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience;
  • Experience coordinating projects, establishing policies, procedures, programs and documentation;
  • Tech savvy requiring little to no support with technology and comfortable engaging with HR and other technology, even implementing new technologies to optimize business efficiency;
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, Canadian employment law, and industry trends across multiple functional areas of human resources
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact easily and with discretion at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and requests;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • Must be a positive influence on others, demonstrating professional determination and the ability to easily adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;
  • Highly self-motivated with strong business acumen and a passion for supporting business success, while maintaining a people-first approach.
