Description:

Our client in Philipsburg is hiring for an HR Generalist for a contract to hire ONSITE opportunity. Hours are 8AM - 4:30PM with flexibility. Pay: $28-31 based on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation, maintenance, and improvements to the Quality and HSE systems.
  • Know and follow all applicable HSE policies and procedures, including Hazard ID’s and JSA’s.
  • Assist in assuring that all annual HSE Training and Fire/Tornado drills are completed and recorded.
  • Assist in maintaining Job Descriptions for all job titles. / Creating new Job Descriptions
  • Direct Employee Relations.
  • Follow all Affirmative Action regulations and laws.
  • Follow all Labor Law (i.e., FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Acts as EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) Coordinator for the facility.
  • Responsible for all aspects of recruiting including advertising, interviewing, preparing and sending offer of employment.
  • File and maintain all certificates of liability.
  • Ensures legal compliance with all employee related federal/state laws.
  • Manages Workers Compensation claims.
  • Manages all Unemployment claims.
  • Attend Job Fairs and work with schools to coordinate co-op opportunities.
  • Assist in the creation of Holiday calendar and coordinate with Corporate.
  • Provide monthly Corporate and internal reports.
  • Community contact with outside activities in the community.
  • Participates in the OSAHS 18001 system standard.
  • Administers wage/salary and benefits programs.
  • Conducts communications throughout the organization and recommends and guides discussion of difficult issues through peers and subordinates.
  • Advises supervisors and managers regarding solutions to organizational issues consistent with Personnel Effectiveness.
  • Assures that all employees are aware of our code of conduct, operating principals and core values.
  • Take part in all new employee orientation program.
  • Manages all required employee training per Resource Management, QSP.015.
  • Responsible for completing corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR practices and employment laws

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HR software

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
