Description:
Bridget Killen at Robert Half is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join a local non profit, located in Eugene, Oregon. As an HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of our HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, managing pay and benefits, and ensuring adherence to company policies and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage recruitment processes, ensuring appropriate talent acquisition strategies are in place.
- Administer pay, benefits, and leave policies, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Ensure fair application of company policies and practices, promoting a positive work environment.
- Implement programs that enhance employee engagement and morale, fostering a positive company culture.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, ensuring all staff members feel valued and appreciated.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce for various HR functions and processes.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Handle employee relations issues, acting as a mediator to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
- Manage and coordinate the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) process, ensuring legal compliance.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with employees, management, and other stakeholders.

- Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce software
- Demonstrated ability to handle Benefit Functions
- Strong Communication skills
- Proven experience in ensuring Compliance in HR practices
- Ability to manage Employee Relations effectively
- Knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rules and regulations
- Experience in the Education industry
- Ability to conduct HR Generalist duties effectively
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
