JOB DESCRIPTION
The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for an organized and energetic HR Generalist for a DC legal advocacy nonprofit. The Generalist will work closely with the HR team on various initiatives and will touch upon many aspects of day-to-day HR administration, such as the full-cycle recruiting process, onboarding new hires, and overseeing the performance management system. The ideal candidate will have previous recruiting and HR Coordinator experience in a non-profit environment, and excellent communication and organizational skills. This a fantastic role for someone who is ready for the next step in their career and is looking to take on more ownership of the HR function within a growing organization!
Responsibilities Include:
- Handle full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening/interviewing, and working with hiring managers
- Manage the onboarding and welcome process for new hires to ensure a seamless integration from day 1
- Maintain the performance management process for employees and hiring managers
- Continuously stay updated on HR policies, regulatory compliance changes, and other HR best practices
- Manage the HRIS system and other HR documentation and reporting
- Assist with various HR initiatives and create HR presentations and documents
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree
- SHRM or HRCI certification required
- 3+ years of HR experience
- 1+ years of full cycle recruiting experience
- Non-profit or association or advocacy experience preferred
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience with Paycom preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving and strategic thinking skills
