JOB SUMMARY: Your Flight Plan!
The Human Resource Generalist serves as a trusted advisor on Human Resource matters and programs by delivering HR support to employees and management regarding benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and information systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ready to Fly!
- Administer HR policies, procedures and programs in his/her respective territory
- Serve as an HR business partner in the region, interfacing on a continual basis with area leaders and employees
- Partner with operations to drive performance management from coaching up to termination
- Spearhead talent acquisition/recruitment initiatives for all positions within the business unit
- Develop and facilitate training and development programs for managers and employees
- Handle unemployment cases and related documentation
- Drive compliance requirements and projects as needed (posters, reporting, etc)
- Serve as the leader in employee relations situations (counseling, recommendations to the business, etc)
- Benefit guidance and administration (Tier 1 issues)
- Proactively make policy recommendations in response to associate or business needs
- Recommend and drive succession planning/organizational development initiatives in his/her region
- Partner with business leaders to assist with Leave of Absence/Disability needs or request (Tier 1 issues)
- Drive culture at the employee level, with a focus on engagement and high visibility HR/associate relationships
- The HR Generalist has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed!
- 3-5 years of Human Resource experience
- Valid drivers license required
- PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the region
- Working knowledge of a variety of human resources disciplines, including employee relations, compensation, performance management, HR analytics and employee engagement
- Effective communicator, with strong professional and interpersonal skill
- Ability to serve as a consultant on strategic and operational matters
- Ability to handle confidential matters with maximum discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Daily regional travel (up to 150 miles) with occasional overnight travel required.

- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
