Description:
As the HR lead for Norway you will be the internal and external face representing Microsoft in the market. Partnering with the Country General Manager on strategic HR matters and importantly ensuring follow through on all global initiatives in alignment with local legislation. The successful candidate will be part of the Norway leadership team and also a key member of the newly formed Nordic HR team and will be expected to effectively collaborate with the business and wider HR community to ensure HR service delivery and an outstanding employee experience.
The role will enable you to drive business impact on our People and Culture plan for the country whilst also executing our annual cycle of HR processes. As part of a global organization, you can also expect to be part of a thriving HR team offering different global and local projects as we continue our own HR transformation journey.
You will be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance for HR processes in Norway so a strong foundational understanding of the Norwegian Labor law system is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong foundational understanding of the Norwegian Labor law system is essential.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (HR), Legal, Business, Psychology, or related field AND experience with HR or related experience (e.g., hiring, training, performance management) involving applicable employment laws and policies
- OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:
- You will lead and drive clarity for governance committees in Norway, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and trends that may affect Human Resources policies.
- You will act as an employee advocate by implementing processes and looking at other measures to improve the lived experiences of employees. You’ll also ensure internal messaging is aligned, and lead and develop strategies to improve employee engagement.
- You will execute or lead projects, programs, and initiatives, such as assessing new acquisitions or developing talent needs. You’ll also develop and carry out project plans, coordinate stakeholders, and identify and respond to any emerging requirements.
- You will promote a Microsoft-focused culture and drive business by engaging with the local community and influencing external Human Resources leaders. You’ll also design and execute a crisis management strategy, as well as activate the Employee Assistance Programs.
