Job Description

As a key part of the UK and Ireland HR Team supporting a population of around 7,000 employees, the primary purpose of this role is to support HR and business stakeholders in the management of Generalist HR Matters. The successful candidate will have a focus on driving best practice, efficiency and continuous improvement, whilst ensuring exceptional service to stakeholders.

  • Support implementation of large or more complex change programmes
  • Lead on implementation of small-scale change programmes eg TUPE, restructuring
  • Support other HR projects and cultural change programmes
  • Support employee experience programmes such as pulse, wellbeing, employee listening groups, EDI activities and EDI accreditation
  • Escalation point from People Services and HR Centres of Excellence on day to day issues
  • Proactively coach line managers to develop their capability, eg line manager coaching sessions on mental health, wellbeing, sickness absence management etc
  • Work closely with HRBPs, People Services and COEs on cyclical HR activities such as P&R, senior promotions, mid-year review and talent programme nominations
  • Provide monthly business line reports
  • Support officer leader and office manager networks with HR activities
  • Support Central Operations with the implementation of the Real Estate strategy
  • Rotating Line management of HR graduate(s)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to build effective relationships with line managers and leadership teams.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive and solutions oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to confidently deliver training and presentations to groups of business stakeholders and HR colleagues.
  • Delivered small scale change and transformation projects with successful outcomes
  • Has an understanding of many of the key HR leverage points: Learning & Development, Organisational Design, Reward and Performance, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Resource and Talent Management, Information and Data
  • Ability to understand and manage employee relations risk
  • Ability to coach and influence line managers
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make evaluative judgments of both factual and qualitative information drawn from a variety of sources.
  • TUPE experience is desirable
  • Degree or qualification in HR / CIPD equivalent is desirable
