This HR Manager role is responsible for all HR-related functions within the organization, including benefits, onboarding, training, and conflict resolution. This role will report directly to the General Counsel. This is a hybrid role, pay range $75k-$100k annually.

What you’ll do:
- Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
- Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
- Monitor and update company policies and procedures, including AAP, FMLA, EEO, Employee Handbooks, Employment Agreements, Trainings, etc.
- Manage benefits enrollment and renewal, assist with employee questions regarding benefits including leave, benefits eligibility, and policy related matters.
- Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, Pre-Employment screenings, I-9 Verification, and issuing employment offers/contracts.
- Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
- Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
- Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Assist with budget monitoring, year-end tax filings and payroll functions.
- Prepare and assist in annual ISO documentation and audits.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related (essential).
- 5-7 years of experience as an HR generalist or coordinator (or equivalent).
- Prior experience working with BambooHR software (preferred)
- Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
- Excellent record-keeping skills.
- Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
- Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail
