Description:
SUMMARY
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting the GSR team member population. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management and team members.

- Excellent grammar skills, organization and communication skills required
- Understand written and verbal commands, questions, and instructions from team members.
- Work under pressure to complete deadlines; basic math skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Courteous and professional etiquette.
- Requires knowledge of computer programs including: Word, Excel, Windows, & HRIS systems.
- Bilingual abilities preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree with a focus in HR is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years Human Resources Management experience in employee relations is required.
- Labor Relations experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all team members.
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Performs team member relations investigations and intake sessions as needed.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Assists HRIS with data entry and reporting as needed.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and practices.
- Performs special projects, research and analysis with continual and ongoing research to build and maintain progressive HR programs and policies.
- Provide communication and support to benefits team to assist GSR team members with questions.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed.
- Coordinate various audits including but not limited to I -9’s, work cards, benefits, etc.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Help support HR administrative operations.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
