In this role you’ll be a HR Manager working in a generalist role as part of a remote HR team. You’ll report to the Senior HR Director (who works in London) and collaborate with our Senior HR Specialist based in Germany. The rest of your HR colleagues operate from the US head office and service our Americas employees. You can be based in our Truro office if convenient or you can work remotely.
You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day HR functions of the employee lifecycle for c.90 employees across our EMEA & APAC offices. It’s okay if your experience is UK-specific as we’ll provide training on the other countries although of course any prior international HR experience is welcome.
You’ll also contribute to our global HR team projects such as process improvements, merit reviews, bonus processes, employee surveys, and business acquisitions. However, you won’t be required to run payroll in this role.
Your main deliverable will be to manage our day-to-day HR processes, escalating to HR leadership as required, in the areas of:
- Employee relations: Answer employee and leader queries on entitlements, policies, and processes, including supporting leaders to apply policies consistently, address performance / conduct / workplace etiquette issues, respond to requests for reasonable adjustments, and administer the flexible working request process, as well as working alongside line managers and HR leadership to address more serious performance or conduct issues
- Absence: monitor and, with line managers, address any concerns in relation to sick leave, vacation, dependent’s leave, general office attendance etc
- Family entitlements: deliver maternity / paternity / adoption and other family-related leave entitlements
- Reporting: running & analysing monthly reports from the HRMS
- Benefits: answer day-to-day queries from employees, brokers, and insurers; assist with annual renewals
- Administration: reply to reference requests for previous employees, issue employment confirmations, provide contract amendments etc
- Recruitment: post vacancies, screen applications, attend interviews with hiring managers, issue offers, and deliver onboarding
- Probations: monitor dates, liaise with leader to communicate pass / extend / fail outcomes
- Proactively contribute to ongoing streamlining of HR processes and procedures
- Payroll: maintaining the list of monthly payroll changes and providing this to the colleague running payroll
