Description:

Responsibilities:

  • You will support the review and delivery of HR policies, practices and procedures to support a high-performance culture which ensures there is fairness and inclusivity whilst emphasising high engagement and productivity to support the achievement of the firm’s business and people goals.
  • Work with the Head of HR Advisory and the P&C Leadership team to ensure all UK people policies and procedures are up-to-date, reflect the latest developments in effective people management and are in line with business needs, best practice and current and proposed employment legislation.
  • Take an evidence-based approach to the development of policies, reflective of best practice, academic research, organisational data and internal stakeholder concerns
  • Suggest the introduction of new / updated policies as appropriate
  • Work with the HR Shared Services team to ensure their internal processes are reviewed, updated or created to reflect the creation of new policies or where polices are updated.
  • Provide training to the P&C team, people managers and business the interpretation and implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Working with the Employee Relations Manager, monitor the changes in employment legislation and update associated policy and procedures accordingly.
  • Working with P&C teams to manage DSAR requests received from the Privacy team, coordinating the gathering of information in line with set timescales.
  • Provide efficient, effective and business-focused advice on employment matters, including policy and procedures, best practice and employment law, identifying opportunity and risk to ensure managers understand and are familiar with policies and procedures and are fully and appropriately advised on the HR implications of any given situation
  • Support the HR Business Partnering team in embedding policies and procedures within their respective areas, attending people manager meetings where appropriate to help with the implementation and adherence of polices, and procedures.
  • Monitor the return of investment from the implementation of revised and new policies and procedures, providing updates on the benefits/cost saving to the Head of HR Advisory and the HR Director.
  • Managing the HR Advisor team (2 team members), in providing generalist HR advice regarding the implementation of the firm’s people policies.
  • This role can be based from the Leeds or Manchester office.
