We are recruiting for a part-time HR Manager in Bridgnorth. The ideal candidate will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent), demonstrate understanding of employment law, and be able to think strategically to contribute to the Group’s long-term planning.
This role will be responsible for the smooth operation of the HR department, providing a comprehensive and proactive HR service to the Group. Working closely with managers, supervisors and employees to ensure compliance with legislation, management of risk and engagement of all staff.
HR Advice, Guidance and Compliance
- Act as the main point of contact for all senior managers and escalated queries from UK staff
- Support managers and team members; managing discipline and grievance procedures, sickness absence and employee welfare
- Provide support, coaching and guidance ensuring robust appraisals, objectives and development plans are in place
- Review, develop and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Ensuring accurate creation of Job Descriptions to support recruitment, development and performance management in line with ISO requirements
- Ensure compliance and other compulsory training is being completed, with support from the HR Assistan
Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Development
- Be a role model with work approach, forming high quality relationships with key line managers
- Develop and promote employee wellbeing initiatives, including leading the Mental Health First Aid team
- Identify, support and implement pay, grading, and recognition processes, including negotiating benefit contracts
- Report regularly on HR KPIs; identifying trends and interventions
- Working with managers to ensure procedures in place at operational level are practicable and user friendly
HR Operations and Administration
- Liaise with the HR Assistant for recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes, carrying out exit interviews and communicating with leavers where necessary
- Manage the HR information system – BambooHR; including maintaining settings and compiling reports where required
- Administer time and attendance database
