HR MANAGER

At WIG UK, our HR Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a growing, engaged workforce. This standalone, generalist role partners with all departments and the Senior Management Team, overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and culture advocacy.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR professional to design and execute our People Strategy, supporting the organisation’s growth while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Is a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously and meeting commitments.
  • Brings extensive experience as an HR Generalist, capable of managing high-volume responsibilities.
  • Has excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Thinks strategically and offers HR solutions to support business objectives.
  • Has experience with visa sponsorship processes (preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and approachability as a trusted advisor.
  • Is culturally competent, thriving in a multicultural work environment.
  • Is skilled in change management, especially during periods of growth and transition.
  • Holds a CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification, with evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with HR tools (current system: Citation Atlas; open to exploring alternatives).

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Generalist HR Support: Provide comprehensive HR support, from administrative tasks to coaching, leveraging data for informed decision-making.
  • HR Tools & Technology: Implement and integrate new HR systems to improve processes and operational efficiency.
  • Culture Champion: Promote a positive, inclusive culture aligned with the company’s core values.
  • Workforce Planning: Assess and optimise workforce performance to align with evolving business needs.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and proactively address HR risks.
  • Payroll Assistance: Work closely with the Accounts team to manage the monthly payroll process accurately.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee end-to-end recruitment, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Policy Management: Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational values.
  • People Strategy: Develop and implement a People Strategy that supports business goals.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and coach managers to enhance team leadership skills.
  • Learning & Development: Establish a robust learning and development framework.
  • Performance Management: Lead the appraisal process, fostering team growth and excellence.
  • Health & Safety: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment, complying with relevant legislation and best practices.
