Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, UK employment law, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification (CIPD Level 7 is desirable)
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with managers and employees at all levels
- Resilient, resourceful, and confident in addressing challenges, with a collaborative approach to finding solutions
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support to managers on disciplinary issues, grievance handling, performance management, absence management, and organisational change (including TUPE and restructures)
- Ensure the consistent application of HR policies firm-wide, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
- Collaborate with leadership on recruitment strategies, talent management, and succession planning to build a high-performing and diverse workforce
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, and handbooks, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
- Drive employee engagement and development through tailored training and development programmes that enhance skills and career progression
- Manage employee grievances and disciplinary actions in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner
