QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level 3 CIPD or willing to work towards this qualification.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Two years’ experience in an HR related Role.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience of advising managers in HR best practice.
  • Experience of managing conflict and sensitive issues.
  • Experience of working to deadlines.
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position: HR Officer
Salary: £25,750 per annum
Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week
Location: Lancaster Office - White Cross Industrial Estate, Alston House, Lancaster LA1 4XQ (with some travelling to other sites)
Contract length: Permanent

We are currently seeking a new HR Officer who champions our values to join our team in Lancaster.
This position will report to the Head of People.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and team members on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with casework, performance, attendance and employee relations issues.
  • Supporting the delivering of HR initiatives including policy change, restructuring, resourcing, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current legislation, procedures and best practice.
  • Be the first point of contact to all colleagues on HR and employment queries.
  • Undertake recruitment screening.
  • Create, maintain all HR records, files and documents in line with Data Protection standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Address HR related continuity issues.
  • Undertaking other duties commensurate with the requirements of the role.
