JOB SUMMARY
HR Officer - Kudu Collective
We are now on the lookout for a HR Officer to join our team at Kudu Collective
The Resource Officer plays a vital role as they have a variety of responsibilities based on their organization, but in general, they support the human resources operations and procedures by administering tests, scheduling appointments and leading orientation for new employees. An ideal HR Officer needs to have strong communication skills, including good listening and speaking skills, to communicate with employees about sensitive matters. They also need to write well enough to organize information efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS

- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Proven experience as an HR Admin/Assistant, HR Officer or relevant human resources/administrative position.
- Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- An HR Officer oversees recruitment, record maintenance, and payroll processing, and provide clerical support to all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Developing programmes that enhance employee relations.
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc).
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes. * Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc).
- Properly handle complaints, disciplinaries and grievance procedures.
- Advising executives on matters of salaries, redundancy, and employment law.
- Recording and processing confidential information.
