What’s the job?
Reporting to the Senior HR Officer, the HR Officer will provide a wide range of HR support services to the business including: project accountabilities and delivery, and various administrative tasks. The purpose of this role is to manage the relevant administrative support across the HR team, predominantly to the HR Business Partners.
We’re seeking a dedicated HR professional for a 10-month maternity leave contract role, starting as soon as possible. This full-time position is based in Sydney, offering hybrid work arrangements to provide flexibility.

Day-to-day accountabilities:

  • Assist with the coordination of various projects defined by the business such as re-registration, staff transitions, restructuring and compliance activities.
  • Support the HR Business Partners with managing a client group, providing industrial relations or relevant human resources advice and support to managers and employees
  • Manage and execute defined projects such as updating JD’s, and goal setting follow-up and coordinating team development plans
  • Support in the employee lifecycle from recruitment to staff changes to exiting in conjunction with various stakeholders including the Hiring Managers, Talent Acquisition and HR Services
  • Support HR Business Partners informal investigation processes including minute taking and compiling investigation reports
  • Manage Tier 1 ER issues directly and with the support of HR Business Partners
  • Coordinate visa applications across the business including approvals from the P&L owner, liaison with Lawyers and candidates, providing appropriate information, letters and paperwork for the relevant HRBPs you support
  • Manage relevant reporting including HR metrics, significant dates and annual TESQA/ASQA/CRICOS submissions, and manage the associated activities around data collection and validation to support the HR Business Partner
  • Deliver high level proactive and reactive HR support and advice to leaders and staff i.e. managing general HR enquires, administering HR processes, contract, legislation, policy queries.

This is a 10 month maternity leave contract role, to start ASAP full time based in Sydney with hybrid work arrangements.

Who you are

  • 2 years working in HR position desirable
  • Workday HRIS experience
  • Strong administration and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage workflows from various team members and multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, at all organisational levels
  • Preferably undertaking or have obtained a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related qualification
  • A strong team ethic, including, the willingness to acknowledge own limitations in knowledge and draw on others experience in determining best approaches to issues etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, integrity, tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff issues
  • Proactive can-do attitude with a high level of initiative
