Description:

THIS IS A PART-TIME, UP TO 12-MONTH MATERNITY COVER CONTRACT.

HRConnect are looking for a dedicated individual with a can-do approach to join their Local Authority payroll team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and comprehensive service to assist in the delivery of all Payroll/HR Services ensuring high levels of customer service and a timely delivery.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Sound knowledge of HR/Payroll processes and practices
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload, dealing with both routine and unexpected tasks whilst delivering to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sufficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to be extremely accurate, detailed and confidential

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with both colleagues and external customers by keeping in regular contact
  • Maintain relevant entries on employee records ensuring the quality and integrity of employee data, adhering to Data Protection
  • Prepare and apply HR data for processing, in accordance with the appropriate procedures, regulations and standards
  • Be able to produce manual payroll calculations from gross to net, crosschecking others work, checking all reports and taking appropriate action
  • Accurately log telephone and e- mail enquiries as required. Retrieve data to support responses to enquiries and correspondence, offering advice and solutions to provide timely resolution or escalation as appropriate
