Description:
DESCRIPTION
As an HR / Payroll Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources/Payroll Department, acting as a liaison for HR-related inquiries. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, onboarding, policy implementation, and employee compliance. This is a part-time position with potential for transition to full-time after a trial period of 90 days.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) required
- Progress toward a Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
- Hands-on experience in an HR or administrative capacity preferred
- Experience in payroll programs preferred
- Ability to manage competing, high-priority demands
- Creative and resourceful thinker
- Strong interpersonal/ collaboration skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must follow all Federal, State and Local COVID mandates/guidelines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between managers and employees on company policies, practices, and initiatives
- Recruiting and staffing logistics
- Monitor, track, and support compliance training programs
- Collaborate with HR and Leadership teams to provide support and assistance where needed specific to employee relations investigations and documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Organize and maintain personnel records with a high level of confidentiality
- Ensures timely completion and accuracy of reports, databases, and filings
- Provide operational and administrative support in other areas of HR as needed including responding to employee questions on various HR processes and procedures
- Be an enthusiastic team player with a drive to create a positive work environment
- Any other duties as assigned
