About the Role
As a Business Analyst in the Global Payroll Transformation project, you will play a hands-on role in supporting the design, execution, and delivery of our global payroll transformation initiative. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of the project and drive efficiency improvements in the payroll process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and execution of the end-to-end global payroll model, including processes, technology, vendors, and data.
  • Deliver analysis and insight for the global payroll transformation project.
  • Identify and support changes to enhance efficiency and automation within payroll functions.
  • Collaborate with business, technology teams, and suppliers to ensure system requirements are implemented successfully.
  • Partner with HR and payroll teams to analyse requirements and develop functional design documents.
  • Lead the implementation of new payroll processes, systems, and controls.
  • Document and define the end-to-end Payroll Operating Model.
  • Coordinate testing, parallel runs, and document test scenarios.
  • Manage risks, issues, changes, and quality management in line with abrdn’s change methodology.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with other workstreams to ensure the overall programme is delivered efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience working in a global organization, with financial services experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, external partners, and internal technology teams.
  • Proven payroll expertise, with consultancy experience.
  • Knowledge of local payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and Payroll.
  • Strong research, analytical, and process mapping abilities.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
