QUALIFICATIONS OF HR / PAYROLL COORDINATOR:

  • Must have a high school diploma and at least three (3) years of relevant work employment with at least one year of human resources-related experience. Employment law and fair labor practices experience is preferred.
  • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Must have passionate attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Builds strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  2. Provides information for 401k funding reporting.
  3. Maintains accurate employee paper and electronic master files, including benefits, time and attendance, and payroll records.
  4. Prepares, reviews, and submits payroll. Verifies timecards and processes PTO requests.
  5. Works effectively with other team members.
  6. Assists with employee benefits programs, handles monthly bill payments (including insurance and 401k), and addresses employee benefit inquiries.
  7. Organizes and schedules company-wide employee meetings, training events, and appreciation events.
  8. Represents HR at safety meetings.
  9. Assists with application tracking, phone screens, interviews, and orientations.
  10. Coordinates new hire onboarding and orientations.
  11. Contributes to overall human capital management efforts.
  12. Assists with various audits (e.g., PBJ, 990, 5500)
