Position Overview
The Human Resources Project Manager, as part of the HR Operations team, is responsible for managing the execution of projects with cross-departmental teams to ensure alignment with HR strategic goals and objectives. This role involves applying strategic project management, troubleshooting, and root-cause corrective action analysis to define, manage, and execute project initiatives while driving improvements in key business processes. Key responsibilities include leadership, planning, development, organization, and maintenance of project timelines, resource planning, status updates, and managing financial activities related to defined projects. The HR Project Manager will oversee various types of projects, including product or technology launches and other strategic HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the planning and execution of HR projects.
  • Develop and manage project scope, milestones, schedules, and budgets.
  • Implement and maintain project governance, methodologies, templates, and reporting standards.
  • Coordinate and manage project meetings, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Report status, progress, productivity, risk, and quality metrics.
  • Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, and all stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders and provide ongoing communication.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute project documentation.
  • Perform project close-out steps, including identifying lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of project management work experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with leading or participating in business change initiatives.
  • Experience working with and leading diverse groups and matrix managed environments.
  • Proficient with project management tools, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in managing large-scale HR projects, such as HRIS implementations, talent management initiatives, or organizational change projects.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions to deliver results and execute multiple commitments within a global environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
