We are seeking a motivated and highly organized HR & Recruiting Coordinator to join our HR department and play a critical role in shaping the onboarding experience for our new hires.

SUMMARY:

The HR & Recruiting Coordinator role will assist with talent acquisition efforts and manage the day-to-day onboarding process for all new hires. This individual will work hand in hand with Recruiter and Operations to ensure a smooth onboarding transition for each new hire from interviews to Day One at AUI Power.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in human resources or related field or substitute 2+ years of relevant experience/education.
  • 2+ years of HR experience preferred.
  • ATS and HRIS experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Very detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with public speaking for orientations.
  • Ability to relate positively and build relationships with internal and external affiliates.
  • Demonstrates basic computer knowledge, including email, with the ability to learn company software

Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role in creating a positive first impression by setting the stage for long-term success and longevity within the company.
  • Assist Recruiter with prescreening potential talent such as review resumes, applications, conducting screening interviews, and dispositioning candidates.
  • Creates all internal/external job postings and publish through HRIS and applicable job boards.
  • Manage the onboarding of new hires, which includes all verifications: background checks, DOT Physicals, pre-hire drug screen, MVR check, etc.
  • Confirms new hires have completed all the required onboarding tasks prior to Day One. Tracking of their entire onboarding progress to confirm seamless transition from candidate to employee.
  • Tracks all referral and relocation bonuses. Coordinates with payroll and confirms payment.
  • Contact candidates with offers and distributes offer letters & other supporting documentation to new hires.
  • May inform and review candidate issues regarding the onboarding process with HR Director as needed.
  • Maintains frequent correspondence with candidates to prepare for their hire.
  • Follow up with newly hired employees when paperwork is missing or incomplete.
  • May host new hire orientation. Coordinate all NHO efforts such as; room bookings, lunches, speakers, etc.
  • Auditing data and setting up employee profiles in internal HR systems; assisting with the coordination, preparation, and distribution of employee documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with all processes and always maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by HR department to support organization objectives.
