Join Our Team: HR / Recruitment Coordinator needed at Heron Foods, Hull (Melton, HU14 3HJ)!
Are you passionate about supporting recruitment in a fast-paced retail environment? Heron Foods is looking for a dedicated HR / Recruitment Coordinator to join our team. This exciting role involves supporting our Talent Acquisition team to ensure we attract and hire top candidates for all areas of our business, including retail, warehouse & transport, and the store support centre.
About Heron Foods: As part of the B&M retail group (£2.3bn), Heron Foods is one of the UK’s fastest growing food retailers with over 330 stores. In 2024, we aim to open a further 20 stores along with a busy refit programme. We are progressing rapidly and need the right people to help us build on our success.
Job Purpose: To support the Talent Acquisition team in the recruitment process, from reviewing applications to coordinating interviews and assisting with new store openings.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Outgoing personality with confident communication skills.
  • Ability to work with high accuracy and manage confidential details professionally.
  • Flexible approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to travel to site, preferably with own transport due to limited public transport access.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and shortlist job applicants and forward shortlisted CVs to our retail stores.
  • Speak with candidates over the phone to discuss job details, shortlist, and book interviews.
  • Post job adverts online and produce social media post to advertise vacancies.
  • Produce the Internal Vacancies Bulletin.
  • Respond to phone calls from stores and members of the public, addressing queries.
  • Assist with recruitment for new store openings by calling, shortlisting, and booking interviews with applicants.
  • Attend and support recruitment days and group interviews for warehouse recruitment and new store openings.
  • Offer jobs to successful candidates and update unsuccessful candidates.
