Job Title: Recruitment Specialist (Employees & Volunteers)
Reports to: Director, P&C
Department: People & Culture
Terms of Employment Full-Time- 12 months Contract
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000

Job Purpose

  • To support the People function(which includes both Human Resources and Volunteer Services) by focusing on the recruitment of both our volunteer and employee base.
  • Bring a keen eye and stay up to date on market trends, remaining proactive in building a pipeline of employees and volunteers.
  • Achieve the proactive recruitment efforts for the People function.

Job Duties

  • Represent Habitat for Humanity GTA as a Brand Ambassador by modeling our values and guiding principles
  • Learn, understand and participate in the Health and Safety Program
  • Manage recruitment and engagement efforts for employees(including building a pipeline, hosting job fairs) and volunteers.
  • Manage recruitment advertisement for new and ongoing volunteer roles externally at Charity Village, AFP, Volunteer Toronto, PAVRO, Idealist, community Boards and other recruitment sites.
  • Oversee the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)within Dayforce.
  • Manage posting all active roles, taking manager’s through the recruitment process.
  • Analyze, anticipate and forecast volunteer & staff needs through internal and external trending and review recruitment measures to match trends.
  • Meet with ReStore, Safety and Construction teams to review volunteer and staff recruitment.
  • Manage existing and new relationships like High School co-op partnerships to recruit and steward for existing volunteer roles.
  • Generate employment contracts using appropriate template and support onboarding for new hires.
  • Attend volunteer and employee in-person and virtual fairs with schools and community agencies
  • Devise and execute branding/marketing initiatives for both volunteer and employment streams at Habitat – with a large focus on social media (including Indeed, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
  • Assist in the engagement initiatives of staff and volunteers to help define and develop our culture.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties as required.

Summary of Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands on, full-cycle recruitment experience – agency recruitment experience is welcome
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize the needs of the organization, remaining agile to pivot as needed
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment and able to muti-task competing priorities
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in marketing and social media campaigns an asset
