Join us as a HR Senior Specialist – HR Direct – Europe
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting HR Senior Specialist to join our HR Direct – Europe team on a fixed term basis.
The duration of the contract will be from October 2024 to February 2026.
In this role you will be, responsible for the day-to-day management and personnel administration tasks in Europe. The team is the primary “voice” of HR serving as the main point of contact for employees’ inquiries related to HR policies and regulations, benefits, and HR systems. A successful candidate will work closely with other senior specialists and managers of HR Operations group to support the teams’ initiatives, design, and implement efficient cross divisional processes to support overall HR operations strategy. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in project development, continued process improvement and technology solutions implementation.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Act as an expert on Luxembourg labor law regulations, BBH global policies and internal initiatives to employees, managers, external vendors, and other members of the HR team.
  • Respond to employees’ inquiries through case management system, a group mailbox and in person.
  • Escalate issues if needed and partner with HR subject matter experts (i.e., HRBPs, Payroll, Talent Acquisition etc.) for the best resolution. Develop credibility with diverse groups; interact comfortably with vendors and senior management.
  • Handle administration of Employee’s Lifecycle in the firm.
  • Create and collect various HR documents and employee’s requests; keep electronic documentation.
  • Maintain HR system administration by initiating relevant updates due to employment changes; support employees in self-service, verify records created by employees.
  • Support benefits administration, by supervising changes made by employees in the internal HR system; provide data to Vendors and process invoicing.
  • Focus on process improvement and propose enhancements to gain efficiencies in the team.
  • Providing an operational backup and support for other HRDirect team members from other European locations.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Luxembourg labor law regulations.
  • 3-4 years of experience working in HR Administration is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to details and understanding GDPR (RODO) requirements, teamwork and focus on client experience.
  • Operate with continues improvement mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to change as it occurs in numerous areas within HR.
  • Strong PC skills, understanding of data/analytics use in HR space.
  • Focused on technology and system solutions, willingness to explore process automation and modern technology in HR area.
  • Strong cultural awareness.
  • Must speak English and French or German.
