We are seeking for an experienced and highly motivated HR Services Specialist to be part of the HR Services / Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of effectively managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle and work with high integrity and confidentiality.
You can make an impact in this role through influencing and managing various phases of employee’s lifecycle by collaborating with HR Business Partners, Recruiters, Learning & Development, Rewards (incl. Global Mobility), HR Information Technology and other business stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Commercial or academic background, HR certifications or bachelor’s degree is desirable.
  • Experience in managing the employee lifecycle, HR administration or other relevant role.
  • Knowledge of Swiss labour law or interest and ability to learn it.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office suite and experience with HR software / information systems.
  • Advanced English language ability, both written and spoken; other languages are beneficial.
  • Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU / EFTA.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administrative lifecycle of employees (on/off-boarding, parental leave, reference letters, badges and lunch cards, processing contractual changes etc.)
  • Personnel master data maintenance (Workday, digital personnel dossiers etc.).
  • HR point of contact for employees, managers and HR Business Partners related to various HR topics, including benefits, insurances, pension, immigration, hiring, terminations etc.
  • Preparing letters for the Swiss immigration authorities for work permits and supporting work permit renewal process.
  • Managing employee transfers and temporary assignments from other Glencore entities.
  • Collaborating and proposing changes on the implementation and continuous improvement of HR processes and support the improvement of our HR information system (Workday), making a significant impact on our efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Processing insurance queries regarding social security, pension fund, accident and sick leave insurance, and working closely with Glencore’s insurance broker.
  • Training and mentoring the apprentice, new team members and continuously and exchange knowledge and best practices across the team.
  • Reviewing employee’s time off requests and balances, preparing reports.
  • Organising the monthly onboarding for new employees.
  • Supporting various HR related projects.
