Description:

HR SHARED SERVICE OPERATIONS LEAD

Location: Leicester
Position: FTC - Maternity Cover
Office/Hybrid: x3 days office and x2 day remote (some flexibility may be required)

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant qualification in HRM.

  • TUPE experience.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE PURPOSE

  • To ensure an efficient and effective HRSS shared services administrative function.
  • To ensure accuracy and maintenance of HR Systems, processes & files.
  • To be a source of expertise for the HRSS Admin team, line managers, business and employeesin relation to processes and HR Systems.
  • To advise and guide on company policies.
  • To manage and support HRSS Team Leader.
  • To oversee day to day HRSS Admin team activity.
  • To undertake ad hoc tasks and projects as necessary.

SPECIFIC TASKS

  • Oversight and management of the HRSS Admin team’s workload, reviewing quality of work produced, ensuring achievement and communication of KPI’s.
  • Managing and assigning resources appropriately in conjunction with HRSS Team Leader.
  • Keep up to date with legislation & employment law changes, understand, communicate and implement impacts/changes to policies/processes/contracts ensuring compliance.
  • End of Financial Year audit support.
  • Guiding HRSS team on internal changes to systems/structure/changes.
  • Work with finance, HR and SSF teams to understand and enact organisational changes both in HR systems and ensure related paperwork is completed.
  • Communicating to stakeholders on HRSS processes and impacts.
  • Ensuring projects are managed and delivered on time, utilising resources appropriately.
  • Workday and iTrent system expert – managing escalation of issues with appropriate teams.
  • Benefits liaison/expert, translating benefits information for accurate processing.
  • Mentoring and supporting HR & Payroll Team Leaders
  • Working with Head of HR on TUPE transfers
  • Support and cover for HR advisor
  • Ensure Annual Salary Review & bonus process is completed accurately and on time.
  • Understanding, correcting, owning errors for team – conducting root cause analysis etc.
  • Maintain link with business, working with a small business group as HR administrator.
  • Ensuring understanding and communication of exceptional payments with HR and payroll teams.
  • Workday reporting, auditing and cleansing of data, and liaison with HR Information Systems team.
  • Undertaking any other duties as may reasonably be required.
