Description:

The HR Specialist will provide day-to-day, analytical, and project management support for Personal Administration, Labor Relations, Benefits, and Compensation programs of the Firm’s Buenos Aires Center. This includes maintaining data accuracy, providing guidance and support in personal administration and labor relations matters, participating in compensation and benefits surveys, analyzing market data and job descriptions, producing reports, and participating in departmental projects to support the Firm’s compensation strategy implementation in the Center. The role holder will also oversee the local payroll process.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business, or any other related field
  • A good amount of prior experience in compensation analysis with a basic understanding of survey submission procedures and job matching
  • Relevant experience managing people administration and payroll process
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Advanced or bilingual English skills
  • A basic understanding of human resources management systems is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Above-average appreciation for the retention and management of confidential information
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create alternative solutions
  • Previous work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing between team members

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily personal and benefits administration, partnering with external vendors as appropriate
  • Act as an expert in Labor Relations and general legal matters, liaising with our Firm’s legal counsels and external advisors to provide accurate and timely guidance
  • Support the salary increase process by partnering with HR Director and HR Business Partner to provide analysis, and internal and external benchmarks, and work with the Finance in-market team on budgeting
  • Study and analyze market data and trends to assist in the determination of salary and job grades and competitive benefits to support the Firm’s compensation strategy
  • Track key issues, practices, and trends in compensation by participating in industry groups, conducting benchmarking studies, and gathering market intelligence
  • Liaise with the in-market People team to support the Center’s benefits needs
  • Audit activity of payroll vendor to ensure accuracy of dataflow, reporting, and calculations
  • Serve as point of contact for resolution of escalated participant benefits issues related to payroll and tax, and escalate to leadership when necessary
  • Produce standard periodic and ad hoc reporting, such as salary ranges per function
  • Lead the year-end compensation review process
  • Support the Finance in-market team with monthly payroll updates and payroll annual audit
  • Support the ongoing development of Firm-Wide compensation practices, policies, and processes
  • Collaborate with the People in-market and recruiting teams to develop competitive compensation offers for new hires
  • Know and follow policies and procedures of the Firm, share information that would benefit other members of the People in-market team, and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our people in the Center
  • Expected to maintain and safeguard this information at all times because of accessibility to sensitive and confidential information
  • Expected to develop solid working relationships with individuals both internally and externally to strengthen the compensation and human resources efforts throughout the Firm
  • Ensure data accuracy related to employee records in Success Factors and Payroll systems
  • Remain current and ensure compliance with all local labor laws and with firm policies and procedures
  • Remain current in GenAI tools enabled by the Firm to provide the best possible solutions and recommendations, as well as to act as an ambassador and promoter to our People in the Center
