Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in Seminole County, Florida. This role is within the Operations/Risk/HR department and will require the candidate to be proficient in various HR functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR team in various functions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Manage workman’s compensation cases and risk management.
  • Audit files for compliance to ensure adherence to HR policies.
  • Use HR systems to generate reports as needed.
  • Develop and implement HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all HR activities.
  • Respond to HR related inquiries and provide necessary support.
  • Monitor and manage HR compliance issues.
  • Provide guidance and support in HR related issues to the team.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar HR Specialist role.
  • Proficient in HR Compliance, demonstrating a thorough understanding of laws and regulations.
  • Skilled in HR reporting, capable of developing, analyzing, and interpreting statistical data and employment trends.
  • Expertise in HR Policy, with the ability to develop, implement, and revise company policies as needed.
  • Experience in using HR Systems, with a focus on efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and practices.
  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
  • Must be able to plan and prioritize work effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to model and promote a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
