Description:

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This role operates in the HR function, providing technical support and performing general assistance duties across various HR sectors. The HR Specialist will be expected to manage tasks related to talent acquisition, labor and employee relations, benefits, organizational development, and HRIS.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in various HR functions including talent acquisition, labor and employee relations, benefits, and organizational development
  • Perform day-to-day activities for assigned HR functional areas
  • Manage the preparation and organization of agendas and reports
  • Handle the coordination and reporting of metrics
  • Carry out recruitment and selection support duties including screening of applications, notifying candidates, and coordinating training setups
  • Facilitate pre-employment background checks, drug screenings, physicals and other pre-employment processes
  • Maintain and update the HR Communication Team Board
  • Provide administrative support to the HR city-wide employee newsletter when needed
  • Use HRIS systems for data entry, information preparation for reporting, and maintaining accurate records
  • Conduct operational activities including tracking of vendor training communications, revising manuals and operating procedures, and other detailed tasks.
  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Familiarity with Ceridian and CRM systems
  • Experience with About Time software
  • Strong auditing skills
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of compliance procedures
  • Proficiency in Oracle
  • Experience with Workday, Workday HRIS, and Workday Integration
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
