POSITIONS IN THIS CLASS ARE EXEMPT FROM THE SCREENING AND REFERRAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES - HUMAN RESOURCES ENTERPRISES.
The Iowa Department of Revenue is seeking a temporary administrative assistant to work in the Human Resources Bureau.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Administrative work experience
- 2+ years of administrative assistant experience or human resources experience preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate general office equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality with regard to protected personal data, medical data, wage information, and employment histor
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass FBI Fingerprinting
- Be in compliance with Iowa tax filing requirements
- Willing to participate in the E-verify proces
Responsibilities:
- Sort, organize, scan and upload employee personnel files into PaperVision
- Assist HR staff in miscellaneous administrative duties
- Perform additional related duties as assigned

This is a Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. shift onsite at the Hoover Building. Flexibility of 30 - 40 hours a week.
