Description:
For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor preferred
- SHRM Certification, PHR/SPHR a plus.
- Must have 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; experience in training preferred.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and MS Teams.
- Proficiency with Survey Monkey.
- Experience with HRIS or similar database programs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver group and individual instruction and training,
- Collaborate with staff on the development of training curricula as part of the teams.
- Create training outlines
- Develop and schedule calendar of workshops and trainings.
- Conduct trainings; present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
- Coordinate administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
- Attend meetings and seminars as appropriate to obtain information for use in training programs.
- Conduct assessments of training needs
- Participate in activities promoting partnerships with universities and other agencies
- Other duties as assigned.
