Description:

For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor preferred
  • SHRM Certification, PHR/SPHR a plus.
  • Must have 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; experience in training preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and MS Teams.
  • Proficiency with Survey Monkey.
  • Experience with HRIS or similar database programs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver group and individual instruction and training,
  • Collaborate with staff on the development of training curricula as part of the teams.
  • Create training outlines
  • Develop and schedule calendar of workshops and trainings.
  • Conduct trainings; present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
  • Coordinate administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
  • Attend meetings and seminars as appropriate to obtain information for use in training programs.
  • Conduct assessments of training needs
  • Participate in activities promoting partnerships with universities and other agencies
  • Other duties as assigned.
