Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Student Marketing Assistant - Boca Raton, FL
Summary of Responsibilities:
This Student Marketing Assistant will report to the Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications but will also work in collaboration with a number of Housing and Residential Education (HRE) staff members. The Student Marketing Assistant will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of marketing strategies and projects including and not limited to:

Social Media

• Create engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
• Schedule and manage social media posts to ensure consistent and timely communication.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, interactions, and opportunities to enhance engagement.
• Help to develop and implement social media campaigns for the department.

Physical Marketing

• Coordinate the distribution of print materials on campus and in targeted locations.
• Assist in planning physical marketing campaigns.

Digital Marketing

• Assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing strategies.
• Make recommendations for improvements for existing digital platforms, such as the HRE website.
• Stay updated on digital marketing trends and recommend innovative approaches.
• Review HRE Owl Central webpages to keep track of future events and make recommendations on marketing strategies.

Photography and Videography

• Capture high-quality photos and videos at various events and activities such as large-scale programs, hall initiatives, etc.
• Assist in planning and executing photo and video shoots as needed including staff headshots and more.

General Responsibilities

• Attend 1:1 meetings with AD of Marketing and other reoccurring meetings as needed.
• Contribute creative ideas to marketing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with other team members within the department.
• Adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent brand image.
• Provide support for special projects and events as required.
• Additional duties as assigned and appropriate.
• The assignment of responsibilities will be dependent upon the successful candidates experience and comfortability with the various elements of marketing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA. Student Assistants fall under the non-exempt, hourly pay rate type. One completed semester preferred.
