As we continue to grow and adapt to the demands of the industry, we are seeking a dedicated HR Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist to join our team in Crewe. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our HR and payroll systems, contributing directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in HRIS or payroll processing roles.
  • Strong proficiency in using HR and payroll systems; experience with Kronos is advantageous.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve queries promptly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of providing clear instructions and support.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

The HR Information Systems Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy of HR and payroll systems across all sites. This role involves overseeing Time & Attendance (T&A) records, processing payroll, and providing essential support to HR teams and employees. This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring in-office presence on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of Time & Attendance (T&A) records, including hours worked and various leave types (e.g., holidays, absences).
  • Clear exceptions in T&A records and effectively resolve related queries.
  • Process and record self-certificates and doctor’s notes, calculate Company Sick Pay, and enter Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) details into the Kronos system.
  • Accurately manage and calculate holiday pay, payroll adjustments, and assist in the annual pay review process.
  • Enter employees’ hours into HR/payroll systems, considering factors like unauthorized absences and sickness.
  • Collaborate closely with central payroll to ensure data is ready for weekly payroll processing.
  • Provide support and training to HR teams, T&A Operators, and employees on using HR systems effectively, including Microsoft Office packages.
  • Manage system password resets, user access, and ensure alignment of HRIS data with organizational structures.
  • Generate and produce accurate reports on overtime, holiday usage, and other key HR metrics.
  • Handle general office administration tasks, including filing and other duties as required.
