REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g Technology, business analysis and/or HR)
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • A minimum of 3 years experience on SAGE300
  • Experience in HR and HR related processes and systems
  • Experience using Absorb, SimplifyHR and SimplifyTeams will be advantageous
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Analytical and data driven
  • Proven experience in process optimisation and automation

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE

The HRIS Specialist is responsible for managing and optimising all HR systems and ensuring the alignment to HR processes. This role combines technical expertise with HR knowledge to streamline HR operations, enhance data accuracy, and ensure systems adoption across the business. The specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of HR data, implementing process improvements, reporting and providing training and support to HR teams and other users of HR systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse current HR system workflows in line with HR processes recommending improvements.
  • Develop and implement best practices for HRIS usage and data management.
  • Collaborate with HR teams, IT teams, external developers and internal stakeholders to design and deploy new system features and enhancements.
  • Ensure data integrity in all systems and perform regular system Audits to ensure data process and system integrity as well as functionality.
  • Assist in the design, develop, implement, and maintain the HRIS user SOPs
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll regulations and laws and ensure system alignment
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS, ensuring system integrity and data accuracy.
  • Configure and update HR systems based on evolving HR needs and organisational requirements
  • Streamline HR processes through automation and system improvements.
  • Implement security protocols to protect sensitive HR data from unauthorized access.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR team members on HRIS-related issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on HR systems and processes.
  • Provide training to users on system usage, best practices, and new features to enhance their performance.
  • Perform user adoption Audits and drive interventions to increase best practice usage.
  • Lead and participate in HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure requirements, milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Monitor system related project timelines providing regular updates.
  • Gather and document business requirements by conducting interviews, workshops, and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Document and model existing and future HR processes to identify and recommend areas for improvement and optimisation together with system alignment.
  • Write and maintain system reports.
  • Regular preparation of relevant system reports.
  • Ensure integration of information between other organisation systems and departments.
  • Compile statutory reports for submission
  • Be the point of contact for HR data between HR and the data team to ensure accurate HR metrics and dashboards.
  • Manage user access across HR systems.
