Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of HR Operations and reporting to the Director of HR Ops & Payroll, the HRIS specialist will streamline HRIS processes by managing and optimizing our complex HR technology systems. They will oversee the system’s functionality and efficiency, handle system changes, and serve as the approver for any modifications, acting as a control measure for system security, data integrity, and compliance.
Additionally, the HRIS specialist will manage HRIS technology integrations, upgrades, and the implementation of new system features, ensuring our HR technology remains cutting-edge and effective. To support informed decision-making, they will generate detailed reports and analytics on HR metrics, providing valuable insights for strategic planning.
Identifying and recommending improvements to HR processes and systems will be a key responsibility, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness. As we adopt new HR technologies, the HRIS specialist will provide necessary training and support to our staff, ensuring smooth transitions and ongoing proficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Dayforce or similar HRIS platform
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Very effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and levels of management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Be a self-starter and can work independently, within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate database queries using SQL Server
  • Intermediate ability to create forms using XML
  • Highly Preferred: Microsoft Power BI dashboard setup and configuration
  • Demonstrable success at effectively translating business requirements into HRIS solutions
  • Proven record of empathetically listening and filtering through multiple perspectives to uncover the root of a business problem while instilling confidence in others that their needs are understood and that an effective HRIS solution can be demonstrated.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years’ experience configuring, administering, and maintaining complex HR information systems
  • Experience coordinating and driving HRIS implementations including data reconciliation and migration from legacy systems, vendor template completion, requirements gathering and others.
  • Other direct or indirect Human Resources experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Be the lead subject matter expert in HR systems by researching and assessing technology needs, identifying systems/process improvements, and delivering technological solutions that support operational excellence.
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the HRIS system.
  • Provide user support, acting as the HRIS “help desk”
  • Configure and customize the HRIS system to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organization, such as workflows, forms, fields, rules, and permissions. Collaborate with other stakeholders to assess the overall system impact of enhancements and changes.
  • Develop and deliver HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support HR and business objectives, such as headcount, turnover, retention, performance, compensation, and benefits.
  • Develop training materials and SOPs/user guides for every module of Dayforce.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR and other users on using the HRIS system effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations, as well as best practices for data management and governance.
  • Research and evaluate new features and enhancements of the HRIS system and recommend and implement solutions to improve the user experience and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage system upgrades, integrations, testing, and documentation. Meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Assist with other HR technology applications, i.e. ticketing systems, training software, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
