Description:
NATURE OF WORK
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the position is responsible for performing administrative and technical support to the Office of the Director of Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
A diploma of college studies (DEC) in administration with an appropriate specialty or attestation of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority and four (4) years relevant experience in Human Resources and/or as an administrative secretary to a Director.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Director of Human Resources by handling the administrative and secretarial assistance functions of the office
- Manages the agenda, correspondence and travel arrangements of the Director of Human Resources;
- Sets up meetings for the Director, books rooms, prepares agendas/documents
- Attends meetings, takes and transcribes minutes and follows up with the decisions or responsibility with the Director of Human Resources
- Keeps track and follows-up with different files and projects under the purview of the Director of Human Resources
- Oversees spending for the operational budgets under the responsibility of the Office of the Director of Human Resources; prepares all pertinent documents
- Provide administrative support in labor relations files (reception and management of grievance files etc.)
- Assist and provide divers reports and documentation, as required
- Participates in the development of procedures related to all activities that occur in the Office of the Director of Human Resources
- Prepares and presents comprehensive, technical, administrative reports, presentations, and other communications containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content including the preparation of recommendations based on findings
- Participates in the planning of events and special activities organized by the office of Human Resources and by the College
- Performs any other related duties given by the Director of Human Resources.
