This position is located at our Air Products site located just outside of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and is not available for remote work. This is a temporary position with a contract length of 12 months.
Here’s how a(n) HSE Administrative Assistant for our Edmonton Industrial Management office contributes to our team:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 or more years of administrative experience; previous experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and service-oriented approach internally and externally.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Self-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Detailed-oriented.
    The successful applicant must be able to provide their own CSA approved steel toed boots and be willing to take and pass a Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Test.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the HSE team through preparation for daily events and follow up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, meeting preparation, meeting minutes).
  • Assists with the implementation and updates of the HSE plan/manuals during the execution of the project.
  • Supports and manages the project specific HSE plans.
  • Participates and contributes to quarterly/weekly safety meetings.
  • Implements and updates as necessary HSE courses and programs.
  • Analyzes and interprets reports from PCL’s safety management system.
  • Assists management with internal/external audits.
  • Maintains HSE prequalification databases.
  • Runs monthly reports.
  • Coordinates site inspections for management.
  • Manages and modifies HSE team sites.
  • Provides data entry support.
  • Assists with other general administrative duties as required.
